Hernando County, Tampa Bay's New Direction for Success
With more new businesses opening in Hernando County, it's no wonder
the area is considered the Business Gateway to Tampa Bay. Hernando
is in a prime location at the geographic center of Florida and offers
many key elements to support growing businesses. The county's projected
population growth is a swift rate of 5.3% through 2025 and it holds
a labor force of over 51,000. Currently the top labor markets are
tourism, health care, retail, government, real estate, finance, manufacturing,
and construction.
Hernando County offers ample locations for land
and building options. The Hernando County Airport Industrial Park
is the hub of manufacturing and corporate centers with numerous real
estate options available. Many industrial lots are ready-to-build
and include necessary utilities up to the property line. Companies
that need easy access for track side unloading can choose a lot on
the southeastern edge of the airport where the RailPark is located.
Private flight training lessons are held here as well as training
sessions for the Air National Guard. The airport runs adjacent to
the Suncoast Parkway and Spring Hill Drive.
A variety of other private industrial parks
and commercial properties are also available throughout the County
along major transportation arteries. A newly adopted Business Incentive
Program provides assistance to new and expanding businesses within
the County. The County
has an Enterprise Zone located in Brooksville that offers numerous
benefits and incentives to businesses either expanding or locating
within it.
