Career and Professional Development
Educating businesses for greater success and assisting the workforce to qualify for better jobs is part of the Chamber’s mission and strategic plan. The 5,000 sq. ft. building houses the Chamber’s administrative staff, theFloridaSmallBusinessDevelopmentCenter, and a state-of-the-art training facility.

Chamber Education Training Association (C.E.T.A.)
The Chamber has agreed to support CETA in its vision to become the leader of allHernandoCountyeducation and training foundations/associations. Since leadership is such an important need inHernandoCounty, the Chamber will help brand CETA with its leadership training programs and invite CETA to brainstorm and create those programs in collaboration with the Chamber’s Career Development Committee. Also, since economic development is crucial to the economy of Hernando County, the Chamber supports CETA in its effort to be involved in the training and educational aspects of economic development in collaboration with the Office of Business Development and any other organizations involved in economic development in Hernando County.

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce Business & Career Development Partners:
Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of South Florida (USF) provide technical assistance services at the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce. The SBDC at USF partners with the Hernando Chamber and provides a full-time Certified Business Analyst. The SBDC analyst offers business seminars and free business consultation to Chamber members as well as to all small businesses and entrepreneurs inHernandoCounty. Business consultations and seminars are available in many disciplines, including healthcare practice management, internet marketing, business accounting and taxes, loans and financial analysis, and government contracting.
