GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
OUR MISSION: TO SERVE AS A VOICE OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND MAINTAIN INFORMATION FLOW FOR THE CHAMBER MEMBERS REGARDING LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND LOCAL ISSUES POSSIBLY AFFECTING THEIR BUSINESS.

The committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
4:00 pm, at the Chamber of Commerce Training Room.
Quarterly luncheon or breakfast meetings are in January, May, August, and November. Quarterly meetings have guest speakers.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The committee meets the 2nd Thursday of each month.

The committee assists with new member recruitment, develops membership mentoring and retention programs.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Education Committee oversees the following: Leadership Hernando, Teen Leadership, Junior Achievement, Honor Student Banquet, Summit For Youth/Hernando Youth Initiative.

LIAISON
This committee meets on the 1st Thursday of the month.
8:30a.m. at the Hernando Builders Association, 7391 Sunshine Grove Rd., Brooksville.
The Liaison Committee partners with the Hernando Builders Association, and Hernando Progress to examine local and state Government proposals of interest to the business community. These organizations then make recommendations to their respective Board of Directors.

DIPLOMAT COMMITTEE
This committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
4:00 pmat the Chamber of Commerce, 15588 Aviation Loop Dr., Airport Industrial Park.
The Chamber’s Diplomats participate at monthly functions and events, they support metoring and retention programs for members, and represent the Chamber at community events.

LEADERSHIP ALUMNI
This committee meets the 4th Thursday of the month.
12:00 pm at Office of Business Development, 15800 Flight Path Drive, Airport Industrial Park.
This committee develops and implements programs and socials to benefit the alumni of the Leadership Hernando program.
The committee also forms the Leadership Hernando Steering Committee that plans and oversees the annual Leadership Hernando program. You must be a Leadership Hernando graduate to participate on this committee.
