Hernando County Business Alliance Mission and Purpose
The Hernando County Business Alliance (HCBA) was formed in 2002 to unite the business community and local trade associations with the purposes of providing clear and positive communication and to collaborate with local government organizations. The group is a partnership of the following organizations: Nature Coast Builders Association, Hernando County Association of Realtors, Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, Hernando Progress, and Manufacturer's Association.
The group does not act on behalf of itself but as a business alliance subject to the approval of the individual board of directors of each organization listed above. This group is non-partisan and does not have any operating funds or expenses. The committee gathers, discusses and disseminates information for the benefit of the organizations that make up the HCBA committee.
The joint committee meets monthly and has eight members. Two members are selected by each participating organization they represent. Members can be changed by their organization at any time. Any decision or recommendation made must be approved by all four boards of directors. The HCBA group Chair is rotated each year so that each participating organization will have one of their appointed members Chair the HCBA Committee once every four years.
